I Still Matter

As a care leaver you will be able to ask to have support from a pathway worker up to the age of 25 whether you are in education or training or not. This is to try to make sure care leavers receive similar support to young adults who live with their families.

The support available to you can be found in the Local Offer.

The offer is updated regularly so please check Care Leavers Local Offer for the most up to date information.

The Pathway Team provides a duty service, which you can contact if your pathway worker is not available or you are seeking support from Pathway.

You can contact the duty number 01904 555389

The duty line is open Mon – Fri, 1pm – 5 pm.

If they are busy leave a message and someone  will get back to you.

The Local Offer for Care Leavers

We know its a big step to move to living on your own. We want to make sure you know where and who to go to for advice and help.

To be able to get the support detailed, you must have care leaver status with the City of York. This means you will have been in care for at least 13 weeks between the ages of 14 and 16 ( including your sixteenth birthday) or for the 13 weeks after your sixteenth birthday.

If you are unsure check with your Social Worker or contact the Pathway Team.
