Speak Up Training

Speak Up and Hear my Voice Training

Show Me That I Matter runs and organises training sessions led by young people.

The aim of the training is for professionals to gain an insight and understanding of some of the issues and feelings children and young people in care may experience. The face to face active and informative training delivered by young people can be a real thought provoking day, the end game being the realisation that even the smallest changes to the way we work on a day to day basis can really impact the lives, challenges and outcomes of children and young people in care.

The training sessions can be delivered in a variety of ways and can be tailored to social workers, IROs, schools, foster carers and more.

The kinds of training available can be worked around the needs of the organisation requesting the training. The standard types are below:

  • One full day training approx 7h – includes full content of training courses and participation activities
  • A half day training – includes selected activities and tailored content.
  • One ½ - two hour training slot – covers an overview of the course and impacts and outcomes of how we work with children and young people in care.

Please get in contact if you have any queries, or if you would be interested in booking onto any of our courses.
